KEMPTON

A much better day today. The change in the weather has certainly made a difference. Long may it last. As I said earlier I like covering my win bet with an each way especially if the higher priced horse wins!

The Betting Pool has now incresed to – £561, and my bet tomorrow will be £11 for a win or £5.50 each way.

SATURDAY RACING

Saturday, February 28th, 2009

Good afternoon

Im a bit late with the horses today especially as the first one is off in the 1.50 at DONCASTER in two minutes!

I have gone for an each way bet of £4.50 on this selection and have more than high hopes.

My next selection at DONCASTER is in the 4.00 This is a £9 win bet

KEMPTON – 3.55 – I have again gone for an £9 win bet

NEWBURY – 2.35 – the same as above

3.10 – Here I have had a £9 win bet, and a £4.50 each way bet. I do this quite often and find it profitable.

BAD DAY AT THE OFFICE YESTERDAY

Friday, February 27th, 2009

Hello.

Yesterday was not a good day at the office. Five bets, five losses. But with the system, that is certainly not a disaster, in fact it’s little more than a slight hiccup.

Today’s tips are a bit more varied due to the number of meetings that are on.

The betting pool is now £450 but that can be more than made up with a win or two.

FAKENHAM – 4.00 -my selection here is not the favourite (at the time of writing), but should    make a good show. I have bet to win.

- 4.35 -  My selection here is a high priced outsider and I have bet each way.

NEWBURY – 2.40 – Another outsider with a chance (each way)

- 3.50 – A horse with more than a good chance of winning (each way)

- 4.20 – I went each way again in this race, because I feel that, in an 8-horse race, my horse has a decent chance of a place,  at very good odds.

LINGFIELD – 3.25 – This choice is possibly the best of the day due to the very good jockey.

- 4.30 – Again I went each way in a very open race.

My bets today are the same as yesterday ie £10 win and £5 each way. But, if I have a winner, I shall be recalculating the amount at the end of the day.

LINGFIELD – 3.25 -STATUTE BOOK- 1st of 7 @ sp EVS (2/1)
“                 – 4.30 – QUICK SINGLE – 6th of 6 @ 15/2 sp (6/1 e/w)
NEWBURY – 2.40 – RAPIDE PLAISIR -  Fell @ sp 9/1 (10/1 e/w)
“                 – 3.50 – RATHCOR – 11th of 19 @ sp 16/1 (16/1 e/w)
“                 – 4.20 – ROYAL HECTOR 3rd of 8 @ 8/1 (8/1e/w)
FAKENHAM – 4.00 -BLACK BEAUTY – 2nd of 5 @ 3/1sp (3/1)

FAKENHAM – 4.35 – DECENT LORD – 3rd of 9 @ sp 14/1 (16/1e/w) – £454

WEATHER SET FAIR FOR RACING

Thursday, February 26th, 2009

Good afternoon, and welcome to our new blog. This where I shall, over the next few weeks, be showing just how possible it is to make money from horse racing.

I have opened a bank account especially for this. This  will be solely for betting, and kept totally separate from my personal account. I have registered the card number with six bookies for my telephone betting. This I feel, to start with anyway, is the best method.

I would add here that it is not necessary to start with £500. Any amount, one of your choice, is perfectly alright.

Now the first aim is to double our money, and re-deposit our £500 into the account from which it came.  Hence, we shall not be playing with our own money from then on.

But every journey starts with a small step & I hope that you are not the type of person who falls apart if they lose one or two races, or one who expects miracles to happen overnight.

My kind of gambling, if this is not an oxymoron, is cautious. I do not throw large sums of money at odds-on horses. That way, should you lose, leaves you chasing the game, and taking unnecessary risks to recoup your losses. I would rather put money each way on a horse with reasonable ability, and at a moderate price. A small profit is always better than a loss, and should your each way selection win, you do very nicely.

What I have done, and I would suggest that you do the same, is to divide the £500 by 50. This gives me an initial bet of £10. This is for a win only, an each way bet is £5 each way. This way allows for a 50-race losing streak!!!!

I shall keep it at that amount until I have a winner. When I have a winner (not an each way place) I divide the new amount by 50.

Another method is to divide your ‘betting pool’ by 50 (win or lose) at the end of each day’s racing. This way any losing streak, should it occur, will be easily covered as your bet is always 1/50th of remaining pool.

I’m not sure how closely you follow racing, but if you do you will be aware of the almost crazy results that are the norm at the moment. It makes it all the more difficult to predict the outcome of a race.

This has made me a bit nervous giving other people tips. Today my selections are as follows -

LUDLOW -

3.20 – KARASAKL – 7/1 e/w

3.50 -HERMANO CORDOBES – 6/1 e/w

4.50 – ENITSAG -12/1 e/w

SOUTHWELL -

2.40 -MY SWEET GEORGIA

3.40 – FASLIYANNE -7/1 e/w

All my bets will be as mentioned above.

I have in keeping with the odd results at present put a small bet on a 25/1 outsider ridden by Tony McCoy in the 5.20 at LUDLOW.
